Saw on facebook there's an area-wide Spectrum outage. We have spectrum in Nags Head and it's hit and miss all day so far.

So we went to Food Lion for a few things and stopped at the Avon Pier for an ice cold $1.00 PBR or a Busch Light. Crazy waves and I'm glad the no swimming red flags are out.

Thank you for the update, EZ. We never received an update via phone from Spectrum on the outage; however, I received my phone email from them today noting that they had received my auto debit for the monthly payment of course.....
Anyway, still out as of 6:00 am this morning. My phone is faster, but no TV or Alexa.

I have Dish TV so no outage there, but internet still down at 9am. I have gotten no notices from Spectrum at all. All good here at the office, we have a high speed Centrury Link line here.

My Ring alarm (we're not at our Rodanthe house) was up and down all day yesterday with Internet drops. It went totally down last night about 10:30p and remains down as I type. Family staying there this weekend and getting serious withdrawals from going cold turkey with no social media/TV. Lol

The internets tell us it's a cut (related to Helene) in Spartansburg (SC) and a "spur/node/whatever" in CLT contributing to the issue. Apparently why folks are seeing the sporadic up/down issues is that only "part" of the issue has been remedied. Brightspeed was not impacted.

EDIT: for any of you with family/freinds in western NC hope/pray all turns out best as can be...what a horrific situation in places like Montreat and Swannanoa and so many others. No comms at all in many places.

Our place in Rodanthe went back online about 12:15.
From Spectrum "Network lines at our regional data center in the Spartanburg, SC area, were damaged as a result of Hurricane Helene. The network at this location is integral to providing our services to this area.."

Georgia has lost only two games over the past four years counting this season. Both loses were to Alabama. We have Direct TV and I’ve been waiting for this one. I’ve been watching Arch Manning play today for Texas. I saw his grandfather Archie play at Sanford Stadium in Athens more than 50 years ago.
